Tree.

Such as trees in an avenue of honour or a tree of significance to you or your town.

Ferret your recent post with regards to the changing colour of the foliage in your part of the world brought this topic to mind.

The "Mother Orange".

Not overly impressive visually, but rich in local history

Oranges as a crop item have been frozen out locally, first in the early 70's with a hard freeze, then again in the early 90's.
I have a couple orange trees and a lemon out front, but they get frost blankets if it gets below freezing for more than a few hours.
The ride to Oroville to get these shots and say hi to my brother in law was downwind in a 20 mph wind going, had to watch my speed. Coming back it felt like 90, was glad for the heft of the CB.
