Yoshimura Slip-on!

Can any slip on owners confirm if a power commander is required or optional for the yoshi slip on ?

I checked the yoshimura website and instructions but wasn't able to verify if a power commander was mandatory.

A Power Commander could be an option, but I have experienced ZERO issues since installing the canister. It just has a deep, throaty sound at idle and it does scream a bit when you really let it rip.
Just what an inline 4 is supposed to do.
If I had access to a dyno in my area, I would probably buy a P C just to see if it could run any better but as it is I'm completely satisfied.
As far as mileage goes, I don't have a clue. I've never been one to be concerned about mpg. However, because the bike "sounds" like a motorcycle now the mileage has probably dipped a bit because I love to listen to the exhaust sing to me.

Called home from work and found out the "package" arrived at home so got off early to install the slip on ..
First impressions :

It weights almost half as much as the stock exhaust .. Did not weigh the mufflers ..

The yoshimura finish/quality is ok .. not as good as stock and other exhaust systems I had in the past ..this is the cheapest yoshimura can ..

The yoshimura center stand bracket is a PITA to install and I busted my fingers but finally installed it without the washers and will revist the install later .. If any owners have tips on the center stand bracket install please share them with me

The sound with the baffle out is nice but a bit louder than my taste ..

With the quiet baffle in, I like the muted bassy sound and that's what I'll be running it with .. The stock can may go back on for any long trips

Overall the can looks pretty good to me with a sporty look .. The CB was missing the big bore Superbike hum and growl like my old zrx 1100 and the slip on gets it close to that feeling ..

Rolls, next time we meet up, you can hear it with and without the silent baffle .. It's not really loud at all and in fact quieter than my stock exhaust on the Vulcan 900 at any revs

Deep, but not very loud compared to most bikes I've heard with exhaust. Has a sort of "gurgle" on decel and between 1-2 shifts. I've never heard someone ride my bike so it's hard to say exactly what it sounds like. A idle and lower RPM I think it's quieter than my coworkers stock 1200 Sportster.

I cut the quiet baffle in half and it sounds very nice now .. May drill some holes just for fun .. Baffle is only $20 if anyone wants to experiment

Overall yoshimura stainless steel sounds beautiful over 3 k rpm and can is much quieter than some other stock cruisers for reference .. Can't even hear it at steady throttle openings even at freeway speeds so it's comfortable
