69 was one of the better years for the Bonnie. My favorite was the 67 in Burgoine and white. Perfect proportions, awesome sound, beautiful motorcycle. One of the top 3 best looking motorcycles of all time imo.
I'm 69 in February. I left school in '60 and the '61 Bonnie (T120) was my dream machine. It took me to '93 to get one! It's still in the garage.
The CB is my everyday ride and now pushing 24000kms and I still love it. I call it the "Last Blast" as I intend to ride it till one of us drops

. The Bridgestone BT45s I fitted at 18000kms have virtually no chicken strips and have given good service. Recommended.
This Thursday am setting off, from Sydney, on a 5 day tour of the Kosciusko National Park and the Alpine National Park region. Am planning on around 2500kms. Mega-twisty country with very little population. The roads are generally two-lane and sometimes with no centreline and the odd bit of dirt. I generally try to keep dirt to a minimum as it is not the CB's forte. Standout roads are the Great Alpine Road and the Bogong High Plains Road, but there is much to choose from. Aussie riders will appreciate this part of OZ if they have ridden it. This is not my first time to tour this area, it keeps on getting better and better. I will be carrying my home with me (hooch and sleeping bag etc) and generally like to camp in reasonable proximity to a "watering (beer) hole". If this is not available then the emergency litre of Wild Turkey or Bundy Rum will sing me to sleep.
I apologise for the thread drift but I guess what I am driving at is that with a little luck and determination age is no barrier to enjoying your CB.

I am 67 and this is a heck of a way to have to get into the 90th percentile in something. Rather it be good looks or IQ or better yet income.
I have a client who road his bike from central Pa to Alaska and back when he was 75. He's in his late 80's now and I believe he was riding a little at eighty five plus.
Of course he's not the average. He's approximately 20 years my senior and when he did the Alaska run I was about 55. At that time one long day in the saddle was enough for me, more then enough.

I'm 55, and will be putting a deposit on a 2014 dlx real soon. I really wanted the spoked wheels. I own (original owner) a 1976 CB750F.

Ferret, who'd have thought you were older than me! I'm 60 and have ridden since I was 18. I had to get out on my own before I could buy my first bike because me Dad wouldn't allow me to have one.
My first bike was a 1968 Honda CB160. I have never forgotten that special relationship and feeling of riding a Honda. (You meet the nicest people on a Honda.)
After that, I defected to BMW for 40 years. A few years ago I became aware of how greatly BMW's quality and reliability has diminished so I'm back to where I should be (except for a little experiment I'm trying with a new Indian Chief Classic).
I became interested in sidecars a few years ago and have had several. Now that I'm having health problems (prosthetic leg), the sidecars are becoming more of a necessity.
I am looking forward to a new DLX with a sidecar sitting next to my Indian sidecar rig. Needless to say there is no room in my garage for a car!

Well I'm 22 don't know if I'm the youngest? Something about this bike that was retro and the awesome fit and finish attracted me right away. Plus I had a 2005 Honda rebel 250 that I put 22,000 miles on lol had to get rid of it as I was sitting on the passenger seat haha. so the CB1100 is a step up for me. Was going to buy a Harley but I figured I'd have more fun listening to that legendary 4 cylinder pump out SMOOTH power.

Interesting poll ! Yes I had in mind the CB 1100 has been developed for riders who have known Honda bikes of the seventies. The poll confirms that, but nice to see youngsters like it also.
In a few weeks I will be 59, I never had a CB750 but in the CB1100 I find a good part of the spirit of the CB400F I owned for a very long time, from 1975 to 2001.
