I was a BMW guy for 40 years. Some had Urals. I've heard many Ural stories and most all of them were not positive when it comes to reliability.

I love retro styling on bikes and sidecars. That's why I like the CB1100 so much. A lot of people use Ural sidecars on other bikes. They have the same traditional styling (copied from BMW & similar to mine). They're OK.

Thanks Sanpete!

Seems like turning into or away from the sidecar would be totally different. I test road one of those Can Am Spiders and found it a little spooky due to the fact that the bike doesn't lean into a turn. Side car similar to the Can Am or different? Pretty rig for sure. Advantage I assume to the side car is you can go with or without (over the trike or can am)?

Bikes with sidecars don't ride & handle like a regular motorcycle any more. But, if it's set up correctly, they are fun to ride. The larger the bike as compared to the S/C, the better they handle. It takes some getting used to but my experience is when it doesn't track well, it's usually because it's not set up right and needs to be "tweaked".

Geez, sorry to hear about your leg, mate. Hope the recovery goes well on you're soon on that Indian. And the CB. Really looking forward to seeing the CB with sidecar.

Yeah, it's OK. I've always loved sidecars anyway. And, besides an Indian, I can't think of a better sidecar bike than a CB11. The retro look works best with sidecars, IMO. I love the old style.

Can you imagine a sidecar hooked up to a new Kawasaki Z 1000? Rolleyes

Only if it were a human-sized titanium suppository with "Sugomi" influenced styling.

The new PowerPlus 103 engine is really gorgeous. I don't really like choppers that much anymore (ever since Paul Sr. came along), but a custom with that engine could be VERY cool.

I have a picture with Paul Sr, but I prefer not to share that one.

Thanks George. The sidecars will keep me in the saddle before too long. Actually, I was into sidecars before I lost my leg so everything should work out fine. I'm really excited about the CB/sidecar. I think it will look even better than the Indian. The only bad thing is, when you have more than one sidecar rig, it sure takes a lot more garage space!
