Ah so that's why, I've sold 2 previous bikes and a car on eBay that were bought by people in Ireland and I wondered why you would go to the hassle of buying a vehicle in the UK, getting a transport to pick it up and bring over to you and paying to re-register it instead of just buying one in Ireland.

Everything gets squirted that comes into this house, can't be to careful nowadays.

I did have some chrome crash bars on the way from Germany but they got turned back at customs so a refund was given. They are difficult to get in the UK in fact everything is hard to get for the cb1100 especially if its shiny.

Any reason offered as to why they were rejected at customs? Too much tax?

The German seller on ebay supplied DHL tracking which I followed for about 3 weeks with no new activity then all of a sudden it changed to delivered to my address but wasn't. I asked neighbours if they had received it but no. On contacting the seller he said it was delivered back to him due to a customs problem and refunded me including the vat I had paid and asked would I like to buy it again as he had sorted the problem. No thanks

Smooth of the seller to be very patient with the process and provide the refund due to the problem.

Yeah, the post-Brexit UK situation sounds complicated now.
