Edit: Nevermind, found them easily https://www.ebay.com/itm/143736471858?ha...SwphhfX0Iq

But I fail to see how they are different (or even better) than OEM shock absorbers.

Never have used them, but are they really that bad? I placed Progressive shocks on the 2003 Speedmaster I have shown here on the Forum back when I had it, and they totally outclassed the Triumph shocks that were stiff and slow to rebound.
Put a pair on the 82' GS1100 I am also working on right now because the stock OEM were rusted ugly. Have yet to ride it at speed, but when done, I will chime in. After the DLX is finished of course

Nobody said they are bad, but manufacturer didn't explain how exactly they are better than OEM. I'm sure you're aware of many cheap garbage replacement parts from no-name brand littering online marketplaces. Those are often build from inferior materials with wild discrepancies in specifications.

For example, you can buy a copy of SWMotech guards on ebay for %60 less, directly from China. Except they are made from potmetal tubing with a quick coat of primer. And will not protect your engine in case of significant impact.

But on the other side of things, reputable brands like Ohlins will give you a dyno printout of the shock absorber you're buying. Progressive Suspension has a shock and spring rating for every item they sell. You can pick and choose your stiffness/rebound/load rate at the checkout.

Now click on that Ebay link and see what Hagon is promising. "Completely equivalent to standard shock absorbers", "perfectly interchangeable with the original ones", "valid alternative to the standard ones" etc. They only claim to be OEM-equivalent, which is more than direct-from-china trash, but not enough to think of them as an upgrade. Unless you really like the look or something. Or your original shocks went bad all of a sudden and you need a cheaper replacement.
