I wonder why people in the I.E. didn't want to keep their CBs?

Are they "driving/riding exhausted" given the density of humanity and vehicles in the region? Giving up on the riding dream? Move to AZ or TX to rekindle "The Dream"?

Is there any source that I can buy a brand new or preowned very low miles and excellent condition 2017 CB1100EX?

Or imported from UK or Japan? But it seems the bike must 25 years old to import to US.

Thank you guys.

Alex

Check DFW Honda in Dallas. They have one w/about1700 miles. I bought mine in Houston w/almost 1200 miles last year.
They want too much, $11,600. I told them I paid only $9500 for one, last year (2019) with only 1200 miles on it. I am sure they would go lower. They wanted $10,000 for mine when I showed up.
PS...just noticed you are new, forgive my manners. I am still a relatively new guy here too. Not in age, but just time served. Welcome. It is a great Forum. Much easier to use than the Suzuki GS Forum.

As another point of reference, I picked up my 2017 'EX with 1700 miles on it last May at another DFW area dealer. They wanted $10,000 for it (plus all the dealer extra stuff they do.) I got it for $9,500 out the door--they listed the actual selling price of the bike at $7,930 on the Bill of Sale. Showing up with pictures-of-presidents kind of cash helped.

Agree with Michael that you can probably get that one at DFW Honda for less than they're asking, but the market still seems to be pretty hot for these when they're in such great condition with that low of mileage. Wouldn't wait long to try.

Is two CB for sale for a population (4.5 mil) half that of Austria, not a crisis exactly

Just had a quick look over here in the UK. Looking at our two main websites (I guess equivalent to your Craigslist) there’s only 5 new EX models left. The main Honda dealer I use in Manchester hasn’t got any left (as far as I know).

TXBikerGuy, it's interesting to me that you say turning up with a fistful of cash helped you get a good deal. My experience here is that dealers in Australia are more interested in selling you finance than the bike or car. It's more lucrative than the purchase of the vehicle itself. That means they're not all that interested in haggling just because you have cash.

100% with that Cormanus. I was told by a Honda salesman that I have known for some 20 years or so that they can make as little as £80 on the sale of a new bike. So the margins are not as great as we may think.

Sounds consistent. I think my Honda dealership contact personally made $150 Cdn on the CB1100 transaction.

Anyone know if a 2017 CB1100EX for sale in the USA? I've only found a couple on Cycle Trader.
