If you are going to ride again, keep it. You did 3x the riding I did and I took a huge hit on mine.
You must like it, I voted keep it.

Unless you're talking years off the bike, I wouldn't sell it.
Just follow the storage procedures (some mentioned here) and store it in a dry place - inside away from the elements if possible. Outside under a tarp, subject to temperature and moisture fluctuations, is cruel and unusual punishment for such a nice machine. And above all, don't run the engine. That only builds up moisture and the engine and exhaust system won't get hot enough to burn it off. Store it properly and let it sit. All my bikes have to go through this every year from early November until early-mid April.

Whilst I am not sure if the reason that you will not be able use your 11 is medical or not - and none of my damn business either, I can tell you with authority from personal experience that it is the joy of having the unimportant things (in the bigger picture) such as a motorcycle waiting for you that can give you the will to overcome any condition.
If your reason is medical and I were your doctor, I would positively forbid you to sell such a beautiful machine. Cheers Dengie |
