Stock handle bar specs
#1
Hey guys, I have been using the lower type 2 bars for years but thinking when I can ride again with these injuries the forward seating position isn't gonna work for awhile.

I dont wanna slap the stock bars back on because they're chrome (I hate chrome).

Does anyone know what the factory specs were so I can find an aftermarket handlebar that will work with the stock cables. Wasnf a issue going lower but I dont wanna go too high or too much pull back over stock and end up having an issue with the cables when I turn the handlebars.

Not sure what the stock rise and pullback are on the 2014 ex? If they made the stock bar in black i might just do that to avoid drilling new holes for the inserts in an aftermarket bar.

mvk, I'm pretty sure that, somewhere on this forum is a photo of the stock bars complete with measurements. I'm not confident of being able to find it, but I'll try.

I've tried, but I can't locate it. There's some pictures here that'll give you a visual indication of the differences, http://www.cb1100forum.com/forum/showthr...p?tid=2104

I can't read the Japanese, but it looks to me like there's pictures of the dimensions of the original bars on this page, https://japan.webike.net/products/25547067.html

Ok friends , I am looking at these bars but the diameter is not listed. Could one of you give me the diameter on the stock bars of 2013 model CB 1100, thanks.

Thanks so far guys, yea they're definitely 7/8 bars im just not sure how much rise and pull back i can get away with before there is too much tension on that cables.

Even if I just ordered black bars that are the same rise and pull back as the stock.

Has anyone gone to aftermarket bars that worked? I love the look of the cb500f bars on my bike but I'm gonna go for comfort with the next bars.

Just discovered "Chrome Black" paint and thinking about using that to spray the factory chrome bars black instead of trying to track down new bars.

I've done fair amount of spray painting over the years so pretty confident I can get a good finish
