1982 Honda goldwing 1100i

I’ve been posting around the web and on Facebook groups trying to get rid of my gl1100i. Bought it a little too fast and realized that the bike sadly wasn’t for me even though I love the look.. Really should’ve gone for the 78-79 wing. So my question to you all is..
with a blown head gasket and possibly needing a new starter. Is 1800.00 a reasonable price for my wing? I have the gasket and plan to change it when it’s warmer. Bought the bike for 2200.00

This is what I’ve been posting around.
Looking to sell my 1982 Honda goldwing with 38,000 miles on it. Needs a head gasket change which I have but it’s far too cold to do it this time of year. Possibility of a starter too as it turns over but doesn’t start.
Got a new battery as of 8/2019.
Fairing is partially off but I have it all.

Thoughts comments questions concerns? Currently living in Illinois if anyone knows anyone that’s interested. Thanks guys!

YOU CAN GET A GOOD RUNNER AROUND HERE FOR ABOUT 1K.... so, even though you paid too much, with that kind of work needed, you are probably looking at about 1/2 your asking price best case scenario, more likely less. regardless of how nice it actually is. they just arent really desireable. Like my 99 concours. great bikes, worth virtually nothing.

The ZG1000 was a great bike when it was introduced in 1986 and was quickly recognized as a premier sports-tourer, at least until the ST1100 arrived a few years later. I enjoyed my '91 Connie for several years before jumping to BMW. It was the first bike I completed a 1000/24 on and proved to be bulletproof and inexpensive to maintain over 40,000 miles of ownership. My '91 had a different dash layout and tire sizes than your '99, but otherwise was the same bike.

You’re right — the forks and brakes were upgraded in 1994 too.
