Why I love the UAE
#11
I've seen this before... I think the guy in the lower bottom of the mix in the greyish long sleeve would be called the "Lucky Pierre".

I ran into a guy at a bike meetup recently here in CA who was trying to get one of these into the U.S. I asked how he'd ride it, and he said he'd just put the plate from one of his other bikes on it. That would work fine unless he was pulled over I guess.
Very cool bike... I'd be tempted to risk it.

We tend to do that here often especially because there are a lot of bikes around with no papers, so put any plate on and ride, only danger is if you get into an accident with another vehicle or pedestrian because police doesn't stop people here and even if they do you can just drive off or rode off, police is not allowed to enter into a pursuit for risk of endangering public safety, take the plate number and send you a ticket or call you to a station.

I've always found the CG125 intriguing, since I see them on my infrequent trips to Mexico, usually used as food delivery bikes. I've seen them pop up on Craig's List here from time to time, and there's a practically new one listed north of L.A. right now. I'd be tempted to hang a plate from one of my other bikes on it, as I've never encountered a situation where the license plate on one of my motorcycles has been compared to the VIN sticker for any type of verification other than the original purpose.

But, with my luck, something would occur to make that happen, and that's the last I'd ever see it.

Honda seems to always thrown the USA the crumbs when it comes to their cool retro bikes, or any CB1300. Heck, we never even got a shot at the CB1100RS. I still will buy no new Honda until they meet my wants, which will probably be never as long I as live in the USA. They can keep their new CB1000R, in red or black, not for me.

The SP is 2019 0km, put of my price range around 15k USD, the 2010 is probably a great choice, it's got the EFI and just over 10000km on the clock, ~7500USD. The special edition is 2002, downside is that it's carbureted, but I just can't resist that color, and I also don't know the price so I'll go there one of these days. It's possible it's sold, Iranians love these bikes and tend to snatch them up very quickly as they come in the country because they can't import straight from Japan, so they buy here, load on small boats (dhaws) and send them over as spare parts, then repack them there onto whatever papers they have.

I can't tell which one is an SP or other, but if you like the last one best, the once with red stripes on the tank, then I am all with you. Damn pretty piece of machinery ...
