Our winters can be nasty here in western Pa but there usually is a day here and there every month where we at least hit temps in the mid 30s. That allows me to sneak out for a 25 minute ride periodically so I don't winterize. I just keep the battery on a tender in a semi-heated garage and I'm good to go.

Winters here in SW Ohio are generally pretty mild. Not many days below 30 and only average 3 days a year below zero. We ave 22" of snow for the season on average I think evenly distributed between Dec, Jan and Feb but I have seen days where we get 18" all at once. But generally I get to ride in every month, and frequently get to ride up into January. My brother and I have a tradition of riding on Jan 1st to set the tone for the new year. Very few years we don't get to ride New Years day.
In summer we average 21 days in the 90s, but not many over 100. Our record high was 108. There are years when a lot of the summer riding is done before noon and after 6 PM. Its just too hot and humid mid day. We average 20 inches of rain per year.
