I thought I'd share a few of my thoughts on my new (13 std) CB. First off, as I said in my first post, I'm much less experienced on-road than most of you, so it's entirely possible that I'll say something that has some of you shaking your heads! Lol. But here's my take so far...
Love the power curve of this motorcycle! Tons of torque, very smooth and simply lots of fun! Turns better than I thought it would, stops quicker than I thought it would (thanks to awesome front brakes! ) and generally does everything well. Honestly, this bike is exactly what I signed up for--quiet, smooth, and fun to ride. Biggest complaints? I love the under seat storage, but wish honda would have made the seat flip up instead of come all the way off. It's easy to remove, but I find myself looking for a safe place to set the seat while I access the "trunk". Also, the seat isn't the most comfortable after an hour or so, but I'm wondering if it may get more comfy as it breaks in? Otherwise, great bike, glad to say I'm part of the CB family. PS, haven't seen another one near me yet.

The CB is simply an easy and very satisfying bike to ride and that was the design criteria the engineers had in mind.
Some people get used to the seat some do not. I could sit on it for 9-10 hours at a time, others are screaming after 1/2 hour.

AirHawk cushion for longer rides. Makes all the difference.

The OEM seat does seem to break in...mine's done 12000 km and no issues now, where it was once something I was going to change. YMMV.

Is it really the seat that is "breaking-in" or you?
This seat seems no different than any other recent Honda I have owned. They start off too soft and poorly shaped and only get worse as the foam breaks down with time. I can see a K&H Seat some time in my future.

I've only put 1300 km's (812 miles) on my CB so far and have only been in the saddle for an hour or so at a time so haven't made up my mind yet about the seat. So far, it's not all that bad.
For now, and until I get a chance for longer distance runs, I'll stay with the factory seat.
But that's not to say that another seat isn't in my future at some point

Like in most things, time will tell.

The seat on my 2014 Dlx is better than the seat on my 2013 std, but I ordered purchased a Corbin seat and I am sure after break in it will be the best of the three.

I feel the same as the previous post,2014 better than 2013 but for me Corbin is the best of all.

Well I've never had anything but OEM seats; it might be a case of ignorance is bliss! Australia got the Japanese model low seat as standard. I think it's 775 mm. If it was a serious issue I'd fork out for a k&h or get it reupholstered.
