My dealer slapped a company sticker on the swing arm, but it came off easily just like the stickers on the gas tank

What did you use to get the stickers off the gas tank?

What did you use to get the stickers off the gas tank? A heat gun or blow-drier works great, and then some Goo-Gone to get rid of the residue.

Hot water soaked rag is safer, but all works.

Come summer, let her sit in the sun a bit, around noon. Soften things up nicely. In Phoenix it was pretty fast.

Knowing what I know now, I would have done at least that, too. Unfortunately, I'm out of town for 4 days now so that first ride was quite a tease.

There's not much I can say about this bike that everyone here doesn't already know but coming from a Ninja 250 you can imagine just how awesome and exciting the first ride is! It definitely lived up to my expectations. The power, smoothness, comfort, etc. lived up to the hype I had created in my own mind. What a great bike!

The weather was just nice enough to enjoy a leisurely ride home and even my wife decided to take a quick spin with me. She's been apprehensive about my new purchase but after today I think it's just a matter of time before she's a believer.

For some reason, I remember a line from Robert Pirsig:

No particular reason for the memory...except that, besides housebreaking a new CB1100, I'm dealing with a mistreated orphan of eight years which hasn't gotten the loving care it deserves. The new ones...nothing's more beautiful than a well-designed cycle as clean and fresh as it will ever be. Even as it's broken in and built up, it shows the scars of use.
