Aren't these extenders made of plastic? After years of use they become brittle and can crack. If you use epoxy how do you remove if it cracks? I had an extender on a Goldwing that I rode to Alaska in all kinds of gravel and mud and it stayed in place perfectly and it was installed with only 3M two sided tape.................just saying.

I've been following this thread with interest as I have one on my curent ride, a Honda CB900F (919 aka Hornet).
Does anyone know if the extenda will also fit the 2014 models?

Installed Fenda Extenda on my 2014 dlx. Fit is perfect.
Used JB weld kwik.

Thanks for that Thumbs Up
I thought it should fit unless the fender profile was changed - which was unlikely. There will be one in my future.

Speaking only from my own experience, I've had one installed on my CB900F for over ten years and it's as solid as it ever was.

They are plastic, made by, wait for it, Pyramid Plastics!

I used the marine sealant/adhesive as it says somewhat flexible and provides coverage/grip. I just don't trust tape for something like that even though 3M does have some awesome double stick tape for outdoor use. They actually included some plastic rivits (like the one in the battery box) but I don't trust that plus I'm not drilling the fender.

5200 can be tough to get off, but not that tough, especially if I'm replacing the Extenda. The epoxy--I don't know.

I agree with that! I couldn't bear to drill holes in the fender. Adhesive all the way!
Should it fall off (not likely) I'll just get another.

Cb4me. Did you get a new fender that's larger? If so let's see it.

Chic Design "short fender"....which is longer than stock. See Samurider.

Also got their rear fender. It's a couple inches shorter. Good for getting mud on the top of the fender and back of the seat.
