Just installed my yosh today. Sounds much better. As noted above, nice throaty sound not too loud.

Went for a ride today. Definitely a noticeable increase in power.

Was just my sausage fingers or was the centre stand stop bracket the most difficult part of the install? Took me 45 minutes to get the spacers in and lined up.

LOL the left side bolt (spacer)was a challenge. Very nice system and the diameter of the header is much larger than stock.

Definitely. I spent as much time fididelling with the stop bracket as all the rest of it.

The fit of this exhaust is amazing. Though the instructions recommended removing the front fender and tire, I got away with only removing the fender. I also spent a little time trying to decide between the copper crush washers I had picked up at my dealer and the comparatively small, flat washers that came with the system. I ended up using the Yoshi ones, held in place during assembly with a daub of heavy grease. There's no leaks and my manifold nuts haven't loosened so far.

There was a fair amount of corrosion where the manifold nuts met the stock flanges. The nuts had rough, jagged edges and bottom faces. I sanded them smooth on a piece of emory paper so they wouldn't gouge the lovely Yoshi flanges and also used copper anti-sieze on all the bolts.

I also fiddled a bit with the old crush washers. At first I wasn't sure there were old washers in there, they were so crushed down. I didn't want to nick or scratch the aluminum heads so my first probing with a small screwdriver didn't accomplish anything.

Then I noticed that the inner part of the old washers were blackened with soot which made them appear to be part of the engine. I pushed the edge of a sharp 1/4" chisel into the gap between the washer and the head and using the opposite side of the exhaust port as a fulcrum they pried right out.

Yep, I had to line up the left side blind, and then used a small nail to line up the right side washer. Took me several tries and several f-bombs to get it right. I contemplated leaving the left side spacer out, but I knew it would bother me forever. I am glad my perfectionist side made me stick with it.
