Air Horn
#1

Does anyone know of an air horn that will replace the two horns under the headlight? Something that will kind of blend in nicely as opposed to a couple of trumpets jutting out. .....LouA

G'day Lou,

There was some discussion of the Stebel air horn in [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2710&highlight=Air+horn]this thread.

And some mention of air horns in [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2893&highlight=Air+horn]this one.

Cheers.

I can't think of anywhere to mount an air horn without it standing out. The Stebel Nautilus is probably the most compact, self-contained air horn on the market, but it is still a bulky item to try to conceal on a naked bike. I would love to have one because they are incredibly loud. I always enjoyed watching people do the safety inspection on my V-strom which had the Stebel well hidden behind the fairing. Always made the guy jump when he thumbed the button.

To me, the stock horns are decent enough, but there isn't such thing as too loud.

I have the Stebel Nautilus air horn on my ST1300 and DL650 Wee-Strom. Had Stebel Nautilus air horns on many other bikes before that. They are a necessity here in Los Angeles. Not yet figured out where/how to mount a Stebel Nautilus air horn on the CB1100...

Yes guys,I think the Stebel could be the way to go. I had air horns on my last two bikes and feel safer with them. I don't recall the model but one of them looked like it might fit OK. I don't live too far from Twisted Throttle in Rhode Island and will take a ride there in the spring to check it out. In winter storage mode nowSad. Thanks for your input....LouA
