Help With Frame Rails Please
#1
I have my CB in pieces and on a lift. Could some kind person please let me know how level (the angle would be great) that the bottom frame rails (just below where the side stand is mounted) are when the bike is up straight with no rider?

I know it's a pain, but it would be a huge help.

I should have measured this when the bike was whole, I know....

Thanks,

Carl.

I can’t imagine how that would matter but the answer is probably something like “fairly level”?

Can I ask why you think that would matter to the degree (pun intended) that a measured angle would be important?

The relative angle between the frame and ground isn’t fixed due to the suspension so I’m struggling to understand how it would matter for any modification. I would think any angle that mattered would be between the frame and the modification, not the ground.

That angle on my bike has changed as I have modified the suspension.

Cafe, will this help? Both lines are straight and parallel, but the ground is not level.

With new front and rear ends, everything is up for grabs; ride height and angle. I wanted the bike to sit and look correct and not handle too badly. I assumed that the frame should sit level and it looks like it does. If the answer was a 5 degree downslope, I would have tried to achieve that. I'm kind of particular, I like things to be right. I could not live with my bike being off with suspension mods. Not everyone is the same (wink emoji).

Having said all of that, it's probably going to end up with it's arse in the air and it's head in the sand and handle like a drunken sailor on shore leave. It will look pretty though.

Thanks for the input.
