I recently purchases a Euro/Japan factory seat which is about 1/2" to 3/4" lower than the US model. My 29 inch inseam has been enjoying it so far. However, it did slightly change the ergonomics and now my handle bars feel a bit high. I'll probably be looking into slightly lowering the bars a similar distance but this got me thinking...
Besides seat and paint options, was there anything else different between the Euro vs. US bikes? Google wasn't much help.

Jim, try pulling back the bars which will lower them a bit, might be a easy solution.

Anyway you can possibly possibly post a picture of your bike with the new seat and a link to the one that you purchased ? I've got about a 29" inseam and have been thinking about doing this.

http://www.samurider.com/?p=14350 is the link to the seat. Cost somewhere around $350 once you add in shipping. Best part of the modification...it just slips right on. I plan on keeping the higher seat for longer rides. I've been meaning to take some comparison pics of the two seats but finding time has been difficult.
