Degner bags - Who's using them?
#1

Loving the bike and all, but miss having bags of some sort. For my needs, it is the one accessory that would let me ride more often and for longer.

Caught trying to balance aesthetics with practicality, so I have to ask: has anyone purchased the Degner bags (official Honda accessory in Japan), does anyone have pictures, and what are your impressions re: size, fit, overall quality?

never heard of Degner, any links to them?
Also check out Hepco Becker below, they look good on the CB...

Here is a link to the webike site. They have a lot of them.

Maybe Mr. T could get them too if you asked.

Edit to add. The HB bags look really nice, but moving the turn signals is the one bad thing.

Yep I'm looking for bags and don't want to move the turn signals if possible. Post what you are using folks.

Although the H&B mounting brackets are designed to move the signals in, the OEM turn signals mount to the H&B brackets, no big deal.
This picture shows the bracket.

Would be hard to find true saddle bags that don't require the CB turn signals to be moved in since they are located where saddle bags belong.

I use tourmaster elite soft bags, no ts relocation necessary, but they are not huge. Big enough for 1 persons stuff for a couple of days

Yes, they do have a lot of them and I have been in touch with Mr. T about these. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before I place the order.

14 liter bags

7.5 liter bags

I don't need much in terms of size / volume, I have two retarded dogs (Heart) that keep me from travelling much. But they are so nice to have for rain gear, tool kit, and running errands. I find myself riding my beater bike as often as I ride the CB only because I have a Givi top case installed on that thing.

Those pics show a Japanese domestic motorcycle and the turn signals are mounted differently. You are most likely going to have to move them. The HB mount moves them back, but also in some. I personally do not like them moved in as I want mine to meet DOT minimum spacing for more safety. YMMV Just plan aheah and be prepared.

If you do some searching on the site, you can find a number of pics of bikes with different bags that may give you some more ideas.

No, I don't know what the minimum is, but it was posted in a thread on this last year.

I was hoping the aluminum setbacks that one user milled would have worked out, but he said they cost too much to make. Sad

I'm using Cortech Super 2.0 bags on mine. They do the job if riding solo. Easy on and off and they could just be strapped onto the luggage carrier if you had to give someone a lift. At $150 a set they are hard to beat.
