Fitting clubman bars on the CB
#1

Thinking about going to Clubman type bars on my 2013. Are they able to fit the standard risers without contacting the tank? Any of you have experience with a specific brand? If you do, how about posting some pictures for us and what else you did to mount them up. Thanks!

i tried, hit the tank or the gauges no matter how i positioned them.

They looked good, but i couldn't make 'em work with stock risers. not sure what brand they were, got them from a buddy.

i ended up with renthal superlows....

my clubman bars are a real tight fit, meaning that the switch block only clears the tank by 1/8" on full lock whilst the clutch banjo bolt (holds the clutch line to the master cylinder) is touching the instrument housing - I put a thin piece of rubber between them to prevent any damage. It took a bit of time to get the positioning right to feel comfortable and not touch the tank. Ideally the bars would be about an inch wider and none of these issues would exist. Below is a diagram showing the measurements of my bars if that helps you source something in the US.

I tried Dime City Cycles clubman bars and they hit the tank as well and just weren't comfortable, wrists hurt alot after 20 min of riding and couldn't maneuver the bike at low speeds very well at all, was fun as heck on the highways but just wasn't worth the pain. I've just completed Chip Becks cb500 bar and couldn't be happier, guess I'm going more of a tracker style then cafe. It's tough to cafe this bike unless you put some money into it.
