Wow! What a coincidence this is. I just happen to have a new set of Triumph Bonneville shocks that I took off my 2013 T100. They are 13.5" long eye to eye. I will use them on my CB1100 to see if they work as good as yours did. Thanks for the info coltnut.

I think that is the best way to go, using the Triumph shocks. I used aftermarket, they work fine for me. But I like the looks of those better.

You'll just need the lower bushings changed, order the bushings mentioned in my first post, push out the lower triumph bushings, contour outside of ordered bushings to same as removed triumph bushings and press new bushings into shock.Make the with of shock bushing same as width of shock lower eyelet. If its too tight sliding on swing arm standoff just use a rotary tool to clerance inside of new bushing just a slight touch till is slides on.To get new bushing into shock i pressed in with a vice.
Nothing needs to be done to top bushing,it fits perfect as is.At least the Bonneville shocks i used it does.

Coltnut. I have my own lathe and milling machine so I should be able to make my own lower bushings with out to much trouble. I am so glad you posted this.

The fit chart even listed our bikes. I was able to use the stock bushings with the new shocks. They are adjustable. I have them set pretty soft. Everything seems fine. I do ride somewhat aggressively, and have had no issues. They also offer a 320mm.

Carguy,

On Ebay I found a bunch of 340mm adjustable rear shocks that fit the 2017 CB1100. I used this search:

"340 mm adjustable rear shocks for 2017 Honda CB1100"

Most of them are from China. Are they reliable? How have yours worked out? And which manufacturer did you get them from?

Thanks,

ape

apehair, first, welcome. Secondly, this is an old thread and it looks to me like Carguy hasn't been around for a while. It's a bit hard to tell as he may have checked the site without logging in. If you really want an answer, you might like to send him a PM.
