Whats up fellas, im stumped here and can not find the right answer...
I installed the pcv, k&n and 2-bros, had it dyno tuned and its running awesome except for one thing, it's idling high.
It will idle around 1700 and will not go down to 1100 unless you shut it down and let it cool if a little bit.
Since there is no adjustment screw I can't think of what it is. The air/fuel is perfect and it runs great, but it always feels like its in warm-up mode?
I'm going it's not a defective power commander, I really don't wanna pull that off and get another one.
Any ideas?

Does the powercomander V have an adjustment for idle? maybe the tuner didn't adjust the idle after all the parameters were set for best power. Piggyback computers for cars have that function like motec, aem, hondata... Just a thought since I do not know anything about the power commander.
let us know what you come up with...

No idle adjust per se with the pcv. but If they enter values in the PC map at too low rpm in the zero throttle column, it can screw up idle. If other than 0 at zero throttle at lower than 2000 rpm, change map to put in 0s one cell at a time in the lower rpms, zero throttle Column.
you could see if with your PC hooked up, if the throttle indicator reads 0% when throttle off and 100% when wide open.... Recalibrate if it doesn't.
better yet take it back to where they tuned it so they can fix the problem. They're used to having to tweak a little after riding a while . Should be no charge. Running good takes priorty over perfect a/f ratio.... There are other forces involved.

nope, doesnt' have an adjustment for idle that I can see. I'll check my map now.
Ever since I put the PCV and K&N in (I did that on the same day) it started. that was about 3 days before I had it tuned. Thanks for the replies fellas! I'll check my map and keep you posted.

In the 0% throttle Col, my map has -7's in the 750, 1000, 1250, 1500 rpms.
but it idled good before on the stock map.

dude thank you - it was set up like this:
1000 - 11
1250 - 5
1500 - 5
all the rest were zeros. I remember us discussing reducing popping during decel at no throttle, so maybe that is why it was so high. I reset them all to zero - we'll see how she does tomo - thanks again for your help - I really appreciate it!
ALSO - my damn breather tube was SLAM full...I went ahead and emptied that out, not sure if that will affect anything, but it can't hurt.....
