Weraignsupreme, I do not hear anything unusual in your video. If, as you say, the buzzing sound stops shortly after the key is turned on, I would consider this part of the normal process the CPU goes through on start up. If a sensor is malfunctioning the CPU will throw a fault leaving an orange service engine light on your dash. (on some bikes, turning on the ignition with a disconnected sensor will do the same)

Do you have a buzz when you turn on the key, I don't.
the purge valve is not a sensor. Its just a little solenoid valve that lets fuel tank vapors at certain times get, sucked into throttles for burning instead of evaporating into the air and causing pollution and global warming and cancer and hurricanes and tornadoes and killing whales and destroying rain forests and melting the north pole. If it malfunctions then part of the emission control system is not working which violates federal law and will probably bring the FBI and the IRS to your door.
its a warranty item so the op might as well have it fixed. Some owners don't like the canister and extra hoses and valve on their engine and so eventually the whole little system somehow "falls off" annd they don't have to worry about it.

There is absolutely a mechanical/ processing noise that happens when you turn the key on. Try taking your earplugs out and listening...

yeah I know...just trying to go by what he called a sharp buzz. Don't really know what that means.

I was watching your return to idle and don't see it as being any slower than any other bike Ive seen. Looked perfectly normal to me.
Can you say Hyperhondachondriac? Theres a little bit of that in all of us as we learn the nuances of our new rides.
Theres a guy on another forum I visit that has a saying " worry less....ride more". Probably good advice.

I don't hear or see anything unusual in your video. It doesn't seem to be taking very long to come back to idle.
As far as any buzzing sounds when you start it, as someone already mentioned that's most likely just the fuel pump and electronics you're hearing. I know my CB sounds very similar to my RS Warrior when I turn the key, and that is definitely the fuel pump.

My CB1100 is new with 80 miles on the clock. There is the normal sound of the fuel injectors pressurizing when I turn the key, before starting the engine. On 2 separate occasions now, that sound has been abnormal, much louder and higher pitched. It is not all the time, only twice so far.
It has me a bit concerned, because the chances are slim that the bike will make that sound when I want it to, in front of a factory trained Honda technician.
Other than that, the bike is surprisingly powerful and smooth. I was cruising at 55 mph, dropped it into 4th gear and pulled the throttle wide open. The CB1100 pulled hard and hit 80 mph in a few seconds. I just love the twin dials and the display! The candy glory red paint is deep, rich and mirror like.
I'd rather the side covers matched the tank, and red ones can be ordered on WEBIKE out of Japan. There is a good selection of deluxe OEM chrome fancy items you can add to the bike.
Have any of you seen the Corbin seats that can be ordered from Corbin? They are leather and are made for the CB1100.

The buzzing sound is the fuel pump pressurizing the fuel injection system. To verify: it should be louder when the tank is empty vs. full.
Your pump may be slightly louder than most or have a loose fastener, but most likely its just a normal manufacturing variance.

My 2014 Deluxe just started making an unusually loud buzzing sound when I first turn the key also. This is definitely NOT the normal electric fuel pump noise. Put your ear on the fuel tank when you turn the key and you can still hear the sound from the fuel pump, but it is being over-ridden by another sound which is much louder. Mine is so loud it resonates the fuel tank, and that's with the tank 3/4 full. Please let me know if you discover the source and if you're able to repair it.

However, two things cropped up today that I needed some help with, I don't know too much about motorcycles apart from youtube and searching other forums. Honestly my mind might just be playing tricks on me but it'd be great to hear from people that actually own the bike.
1) There is a strange buzzing sound coming from under the fuel tank when I turn the key to the on position. I hear the fuel pump turn on but then this buzz that seemed to be coming from the MAF/MAP sensor (not sure) connected to the airbox. I unplugged it and the buzz was still there so not sure where it's coming from. Maybe a servo motor or the solenoid? Or another sensor that I'm missing?
2) I let a buddy take the bike for a spin and when he brought it back, the idle seemed like it took longer to go back after revving it in neutral, like there was a vacuum leak or something. Posted a vid on youtube for someone to compare.

3) Like jodyz post, I too am hearing something like a rattle/tinging from the front part of the engine near the headers. May have just not noticed it before my buddy drove it but still worries me.
Thanks for any help y'all can give me. I hope I'm just being a hypochondriac.
My 2014 Deluxe started making this buzzing sound (like a faulty solenoid valve cycling) also, just after 1,000 miles. Other posters have already responded with helpful information. I'm taking my bike back to the dealer today.
