I'm planning to have Corbin build a seat for my 2014 Deluxe & wanted to use an original base. Are there any differences between the 2013 & 2014 ? Thanks, Rocket

Rocket I don't think there is any difference. The seats are interchangeable.

Supposedly the DLX's larger gas tank makes for a tighter fit in the front, but Ferret is right. If you are worried about the seat scratching the tank, apply some 3M clear plastic film to the contact area.

The Corbin base fits very well but is heavier (stronger ?) than the OEM base.
They fit on both 2013 and 2014 , the same is the case for the 2013 and 2014 OEM ones.

Same with K&H seat base, it is very solid and does not flex at all like the stock seat does....I think that's part of the reason people slide up on the stock seat so much, the base folds down as you sit on it.

So, the Corbin base has all the same attachment points underneath like the original ? How about that handy little pocket that holds the owner's manual ?

No, it does not have the space for the manual , I put that in the little "tray" with some "tools"

Never knew that. I keep my OM in the front pocket of my tailbag for quick reference. I'm all the time trying to find out something else about the CB1100.

The stock pan has some molded plastic tabs that the manual will slide into. Take a look, you'll see them.
