Lowering the back
#1
Thinking I would like to lower the back of my 2013 CB1100 for a more cruiser feel (yea I could have bought a cruiser but love the look of the 1100.....brings me back to the 70s LOL Ive already made more of a forward control system (old legs dont bend)
Anyone done this or suggestions ? other than buying a different bike..

I have sometimes thought of this also, I seem to slide forward into the tank and I feel like the geometry needs to be a little higher in the front of the bike or lower in the rear.

Maybe I just need to shave a few lbs myself who knows lol

You could also try dropping the rear preload to a minimum (and optionally add it on the front forks) which will have a similar lowering effect on the rear. You might find the steering slows down some though which will also be the case if you shorten the rear shocks too. It is an easy thing to try to start with.
