Thank you Ferret. I assume no one torques the sparkplugs to spec? just tight huh? not sure how I'd get a torque wrench going in those confines.

I looked but don't seem to have the red socket that your picture shows in the open behind the headlight bowl. Did you bring it from the inside of the bowl to the outside perhaps?

just good-n-snug, not tight. You certainly don't want to strip one of those. I think spec is only 12#

12 is correct according to the service manual.
