A Google search yields a bewildering number of returns for motorcycle intercom.
My wife has a HTC helmet with the flip up face plate, which came as a sweetener in the price of the bike and I have my trusty full face Shoei.
We’re just interested in rider /passenger comms.
Anyone have any suggestions?
No hurry, since she won’t ride until I get a backrest installed.
Thanks,
Mike

my wife and I use the Scala Q2 and have been rather pleased although I hear the Senna units are better. The Scala units have been totally reliable, the batteries last all day, and take about 3 or 4 hours to recharge. We've had ours since 09 I think.Multiple bike trips..2 out west, 1 to New England, 1 down the BRP and skyline Dr into the Carolinas and Georgia. Now we only use them as intercoms, not radios or blue toothing or whatever else you can do with blue tooth so I cant answer how well those functions of the units work.

I just (last week) bought a SENA SMH10 system. It's received very good reviews, and I'm still testing it out. As soon as I can get the wife into a new helmet (her Arai is getting old), we'll have wireless communications. I also plan on using the system as a bike-to-bike system with riding friends.
I've so far only used the system to listen to music from iTunes in my iPhone. It works great for that purpose, and the speakers are very good.
I'll try to have a better review after a two-up ride with the wife.

I've owned both the Scala and the Sena. So far the Sena is more reliable and very easy to use.
Some say the fidelity in the Sena is very good but the scala would go to a higher volume and stay clear while the sena will crackle at any volume high enough to hear at highway speeds.
For me the Sena is better because I can ride with several buddies who have them and we can all talk together.
The scala will only do one on one between 3 riders. The battery gave up after 2 years on the scala and I decided to go with a sena because other friends have them.
I may try adapting the speakers from my old Scala systems to see if they work better because other than the annoying crackling the sena is a better system.
I don't stream music but if you do the sena will also do that in stereo while the scala is mono.
The phone feature works really well too, most people dont even know I'm talking to them from my bike.
I love having communicators, it makes the ride so much better and safer.
Good luck
