An interesting read, comprised of interviews with the Honda engineers responsible for bringing the CB1100 to life.

Hello sorrentino100! What a great read. I was blown away by the quality of the interview/marketing piece. They went into such great deal about the design and build of the product.
What I find very amazing is that they purposefully made the bike less desirable by most people's standards (creating the rumble around 3k which many find buzzy) and a certain mushy and looseness to the handling compared to a more rigid sport bike feel. Usually these types of things would be associated with less quality or skimping on components but not in this case. There was a plan to build a bike for a certain audience.
I think reading this is helpful for me in terms of enjoying the bike for what it is (very soulful and fun to ride) rather than trying to beef up the suspension and HP/Torque.

This was outstanding, thank you. And I thought the CB1100 was "just a bike."

I just read this article again last night. I printed it off to keep in case Honda drops it from their sight. It makes me happy all over again that I bought one.
