2013 CB 1100AD = Silver engine

That's probably right. For parts, just look up the 2013 CB1100AAC [url=http://www.servicehonda.com/parts.html]here.

Cormanus, is that a site outside of the US? The US sites show the same part numbers for the front brakes. I don't think getting parts is going to be a problem for him.

Not sure popgun. I suspect it's US based as the parts lookup references the US model numbers of bikes.

Ah. I had never seen that site before and since the bike was thought to be maybe from the UK, I though you might have posted a non-us site.

I found the site ages ago when a couple of members were having a discussion about whether they had duplicate VINs. As you can see from the search function it lists the year and model number and gives a VIN range as well. I'm pretty sure they're the US VINs.

I keep trying to find similar sites in other countries.

Bump.

I'm still interested to hear from a UK or European member what digits 4-8 are on your CB1100. In other words, what comes after JH2SC65 .... and what is the model of your bike?

Thanks

Just come across this thread and thought it's about time I contributed something to the forum. Not too sure exactly what information you are after for a UK bike, but the model of my all-black (silver engine) is given as CB 1100 A-D and the VIN begins with JH2SC65B3DK......

Excellent. Good on you, Bob. That's exactly what I wanted. It tells me that Honda uses a different number/letter in the 8th position of U.K. Models to that used in the US. It tells me that, if use2b's bike was imported, it got a new VIN.

I wonder what the EX VIN identifier is in the U.K.?
Answered my own question: it's SC65C. Looks to me like the SCSC65B and SC65C designator were used Europe wide.

That's it VIN tragics. Back to sleep.

That's what I would have expected. Since EU member countries use a common standard, its no surprise that Honda would make a common model for all of them.

Thanks, Old Bob! You've made some numbers geeks very happy.
