I help take care of my wife's aunt and uncle, both in their 80's, which involves spending the summer on the coast at Trinidad where it is gorgeous and cool, stunningly beautiful redwoods, coastline etc..
I help him fish out of his boat powered by a Honda outboard, inline 4, 90hp, extremely reliable... sound familiar?
The plan was to get the CB over there so I could poop around on it in my spare time, but just as we got settled in I suffered a detached/torn retina and ended up unable to handle the elevation involved in making the trip.
Caught lots of fish had a great time and avoided the valley heat which ran into triple digits most of the summer.
Got back Monday and pulled the wheels to have the PR3's mounted that I purchased in May. Installed those today and was delighted with the results. Everyone gives them good reviews but I haven't heard much about improved low speed handling. I found that getting through town in traffic was much more relaxed, felt very connected and well balanced.
I followed Redbirds lead with a 120 on the front, and noticed a better feeling on my gravel drive... hey don't laugh, that's important too
Also installed some additional lead weight, about 4 ounces per bar end, which eliminated the numbness I had been suffering from "buzz". The outboard had it too, just an inline 4 thing, I guess.
If these results continue, I am going to paint or plasti-dip them and post pics.
I have heard how much you enjoy fish Mr. Ferret, and I have a freezer full if you are ever in the neighborhood
PS... moderators, if there is a better place for this please do the honors. Thanks.
Ben
