Fast flashing turn signal - cafe74_imp - 03-29-2017
I would think this is not a new program but not sure what the fix would be . I installed aftermarket led Tim signal's and now it flashes fast . I believe a resistor would be used but do I need 4 of the or just 2 . And is there a better resistor than others.

One member says to wire them in parallel and another in series. I would imagine either way would work, or you may have to try both to get the best results. Hopefully one of them will chime in. Here is a link with a pictorial wiring diagram on how to wire them in parallel, which to my technician mine is the correct way: http://www.plasmaglow.com/install/install_load_resistor.pdf
You will need one resistor per light to present the proper load to the 'flasher' (turn signal posistion relay).

I purchased mine at Autozone.
They come two in a pack. I installed them in parallel in each two wire circuit going to the blinkers. The main warning is that the resistors can get hot, I insulated mine to protect the rest of the undersea area.
Almost think a little heatsink would protect the resistors.

My concern is that with the front lights also being on all the time the resistor would be really hot after time on a ride the posh relay is an idea but expensive. If I add more lights into the system that would bring up the residents.. plenty to think about

Buy the POSH flasher referenced one of the threads I posted. Problem solved.

I just installed the POSH. Rear blinkers work perfect, but front always lights up, except when flashing. When the front blinkers is not activated they still get 12v from the relay. I guess a defect POSH??
Any ideas?

In the US at least, the front signals are always on (unless one is flashing for a turn

Carsten, I think I'm right in saying that US law requires that the front indicators on a motorcycle must be on except when flashing. It may be that the POSH relay is built to make sure that happens?
In Australia, our front indicators are off except when they're flashing.

Cormanus, I think you are on to it. And now I know the bikes are not all wired the same in all countries for all functions.

Sure, it the right answer! However, I was confused because one the front blinkers was working in the beginning. Nevertheless, I have decided to run with this, let’s see if the Danish police will give me a thumbs up for the bike design.
