I’m sure people have noticed that the new CB1100 come with completely sealed (seamless/welded) pipes. Any suggestions on ho to modify the mufflers to make them a little louder??

I looked through the end opening and found an area that could have a hole drilled in. Anyone tried that?

Yes. There is a thread around here somewhere where a couple members tried a few things. Use the search feature to find it. Or some other industrious member will add a link here eventually. I'm not sure the results were overwhelming because the main source of sound dampening comes from the cat which is upstream in the system.

Not sure anyone’s done anything with the 2017 bike exhausts.

If you look through the tail pipe with a flash light, you will see there are 3 holes with dia approx 6mm each. What you should do is to use a long rod of steel with larger dia, say 8mm, to enlarge those 3 holes, sound will be improved. That what i did.

Apologies itstuantran. I forgot you’d modified your RS.

No problem Cormanus, it's just a little play on my stock exhaust, i've replaced the stock exhaust with full titanium 4-1 system Smile
