Usb-c cable direct to battery or switched power - capz65_imp - 04-15-2022

Looked all over and can't seem to find a fused usb-c cable with battery leads or a ready made usb-c cable to a 2 pin connector. I'd like the usb-c male right at my phone mount instead of plugging in a USB to usb-c cable. Anyone have this setup?

My guess is you are going to have to use an adapter. If you search on motorcycle USB C on Amazon a ton of options come up.

On my bike I have an SAE cable plugged into the accessory connector in the headlight. The other end I can plug in any number of adapters or devices. Right now I have a voltage monitor on it.

Right, I have the micro USB with adapter running to fused sae then to battery. It's worn with cracked sheathing so I wanted to replace it. Surprised they haven't gone to the straight usb-c yet. So there's a wired available SAE in the headlight? That's a score. Wish I knew that before I wired the ring terminals to the battery. The terminal screws were 1 damn mm too short to catch the nut underneath with the added width of the terminals. Took a half hour to lift the nut high enough to catch. Thanks for the better suggestion.

The accessory connector in the headlight shell is not SAE. It is a 2 pin red connector. Sumitomo or Hitachi, I forgot which at this moment.

To use it you have to buy a connector and pins and attach them to a an SAE cable or just cut off the bike connector and attach directly to the wires. That is what most have done. Some of us bought the connector that fits the bike.

Ok I got it. Same as the one in the boot under the toolbox. I'm on it
