Does anyone know the color of the wire {hot} going to the rear brake? I have some LEDs on a hard box mounted on the luggage rack and want to wire them in.

There are 3 wires going to the light bulb.
G/Y goes to the brake switches 12v when brake switch activated.
Bl/Br(black/brown) 12v when ignition switch is on
G (green) tied to ground (chassis lug)
You should disconnect the 3P connector and verify this. I used the wiring diagram, but you should not trust the internet
