odd knocking sound - silascopathic_imp - 10-24-2013
hey friends,
So i was away from my bike for a week. the tank was close to empty and when i was riding it yesterday i noticed a knocking sound coming from my front wheel area.
After inspecting, everything seemed tight, though when am riding the bike at a slow speed i can hear this and am a bit concerned.
its probably a bolt not completely tightened (have to check that this afternoon)
not sure if you all have any suggestions.
figured, id toss this out there.

Does it sound like a rotation noise that increases and decreases with speed???

Could this be the full floating discs? A slight rattle at low speed is normal.

The who now? Our bikes have a conventional multi-plate wet clutch.
BTW, OP, are you sure it's not coming from the engine? Mine knocks pretty badly when hot/stressed. Not ignition knock, but metallic knock. I just assume this is the noise the engine makes when it's hot and am not worried about it.

I 2nd this. I think you hear more engine noise with the KSY full system since the Stock manifold/Exhaust has thicker walls that limits engine noise a bit. But check any loose bolts or parts just to make sure, Also if you have the time do a video so we could compare...

I feel like its the rotors, i only hear it when coming to a stop and at slower speeds. when the bike is cruising i do not hear it at all.
