Torque Settings For Bars & Levers Please? - markT_imp - 02-23-2018

Hi Folks,

I had to slacken the handlebar clamp and higher the bars slightly on my 1100 ex.

Does anyone with a Service Manual know the correct torque values for -

Bar Clamp

Brake & Clutch Lever Perch

Bar Switch Units

Cos I think they all might need adjusting slightly and the bar clamps definitely need re-torqueing.

Is there a torque setting chart anywhere on here ??

Many Thanks

The 4 handlebar clamps are 15 ft lbs. Tighten the top ones first.

Clutch master cylinder holder bolt (2)—9ft lbs. Same for the brake bolts

Bar switch units are not listed in the table or manual section on them. So use the Standard torque values table. They are screws, so 5mm screw is 3.1 ft lbs, and 6mm screw is 6.6 ft lbs.
