Dynamic balancer - Jeya_imp - 04-09-2018 Hi guys, got a question about the dynamic balancer. When does it need adjusting? Does it balance the crankshaft or the transmission shaft? Thanks in advance. RE: Dynamic balancer - itstuantran_imp - 04-09-2018 This might help! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEgQmyknW_4 (04-09-2018, 11:29 AM)Jeya_imp Wrote: Hi guys, got a question about the dynamic balancer. The balance shaft looks like this and is actually not dynamic, it counter rotates with the crankshaft and the adjustment is for close ( but not too close ) meshing of the teeth with the eccentric shaft to avoid noise and wear on them; it is described by wikipedia here; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balance_shaft Normally this does not need adjustment but can be checked for correct meshing of the teeth if an obvious rattle is heard in the area near the eccentric adjustment shaft like in this video; balancer check starts at 2 min. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEgQmyknW_4 So unless there is a rattling noise heard there is no need to do anything, i have not heard of any cb1100 that needed adjustment in this area. And thanks Tuantran! RE: Dynamic balancer - Jeya_imp - 04-09-2018 Awesome. Thanks guys |
