2017 CB1100EX Dart Marlin Flyscreen - TXBikerGuy - 07-23-2020 I'll take a better pic of the flyscreen on the bike outside whenever I'm able to get it back outside, but here are some pics showing what the Dart Marlin flyscreen looks like on the 2017 EX model. Relatively easy install. Required: 1. Removing front of headlight 2. Disconnecting turn signal plugs (R=blue, L=orange) 3. Removing both headlight side brackets 4. Removing both turn signals Removing the headlight brackets was a little tricky--not much room to fit the allen wrench up there--at least on the right side due to the brake line. The new headlight mounting brackets push the entire headlight unit forward about an inch, maybe inch and a quarter. I don't really notice it. RE: 2017 CB1100EX Dart Marlin Flyscreen - peterbaron - 07-23-2020 Looks good to me, like its size RE: 2017 CB1100EX Dart Marlin Flyscreen - LakeWylieJoe_imp - 07-23-2020 Looks good. Let us know what the slipstream is like at speed after testing it out some. The airflow with no screen is smooth, but beats you up at speed. I'd be interested to know how much it helps. RE: 2017 CB1100EX Dart Marlin Flyscreen - the Ferret - 07-23-2020 If the top of the screen measures 10 1/2" or less from the ignition he should be fine. It should keep the wind off his chest, but not high enough to bobble his head. RE: 2017 CB1100EX Dart Marlin Flyscreen - Cormanus - 07-23-2020 GrahamT has found that a water bottle in a thick sock fits neatly between the "V" of the gauges and the Marlin screen. |
