Has anyone installed a power commander in? - Doug Shepard_imp - 08-09-2023

I had a power commander installed but having some issues now took it back to the shop. Response on the throttle changed and i killed the bike at lights like 5 times. I have never killed my bike at a light before in the years i have owned it. Anyone have a map that works great for a 14'? Shop is had it again for a few days so i think they are trying to work with PC. Anyway thought i would ask in the forum. I also added 2 teeth to rear sprocket https://i.imgur.com/seBkTFN.jpg

Back when I had the Kawi Vulcan 1500, I noticed it had a horrible knock at lower RPM, I looked about for a cost effective device to fix that. I found one on a Kawi forum that purported to work. Can't remember the name of it, but it had a four-pot control box. I installed it, and it worked OK but I could smell fuel when I stopped. I dialed back the amount of fuel it delivered until the smell went away, and it ran great without the knock. I'd hole-sawed the twin mufflers, it sounded fantastic, like an Italian sports car climbing hills.

if you get an at, i have a map that works great. the power commander alone will fight the stock ecm using the recommendations they sent. Mine stalled, ran hot, had a hard time restarting, etc. I hope you had better luck than i did. Its super sweet now but holy cow i had to work for it.

Sucks still have issues with throttle response at start like a hesitation and i kill it at times on take off now. Never had the issue before. Took it back he said he put it back to stock when i brought it in and it still does the same thing? I am kinda upset with the service i got
