throttle operation - The Gecko_imp - 02-26-2024

Checked throttle operation (as I have done a few times before), anywhere between handle bar full left and (almost) full right the throttle free play is as prescribed in the books, but when I turn the handle bar that tiny little extra into full right all play is gone. Otherwise everything feels the way it should.
This situation is new, and I cannot see how this could be caused by the usual suspects. And simply using the adjuster seems counter intuitive, as it would change the setting over the full range. I can't see that the cable gets pinched somehow in the full right position.
Would you have any idea /s ?

I think I had this problem after swapping handlebars or taking the head light mount off when I did my fairing.

The cables route a certain way down along the side of the triple tree/behind the headlight bucket to the right and if its in front of or behind the guide bracket for the cables or the headlight bracket I believe you lose an inch or 2 or the cables "free play"

I may not have explained that well but in a rush. I can take pics later of how my house routed if needed. I think mine is outside of the "cable guide bracket" to give it some extra play after I went back to the stock bars but used risers.

Pics would be great, mvk.
Meanwhile i’ll check if the cable slipped in or out of a bracket ...

Hey sorry it took so long, I forgot until I saw my notifications again just now.

My cables are back to being routed the way it came from the factory. [Image: ce862e0cbb1e9433200d5097e7ff3f1e.jpg]
