How to remove O2 sensor - CB1100AZ_imp - 05-29-2020

I have a 2013 CB1100 that I am planning to remove the header and have it Jet Hot or ceramic coated. I have a 17mm deep socket that I am going to cut a slot in in order to accomodate the sensor wire when I remove the O2 sensor from the header. Should I disconnect the sensor from the wiring harness and remove it along with the header or is there enough slack in the wire to allow me to drop the header down far enough to remove the sensor from the header while the sensor is still on the bike? Also can I expect the sensor to unsrew relatively easy from the header or will it be difficult to remove because of the heating and cooling of the header?
Any tips on the removal process will be appreciated.

Thanks
Like I said I know how to make the modification to the socket in order to make the tool to remove the sensor. I am wondering whether I need to remove the sensor with the header and then remove it from the header or can I remove the sensor from the header before I remove the header from the bike.

You can do it either way , what ever you think you might find easier , the sensor is quite tight but not difficult to remove with and 3/8 drive deep socket cut along its length to the bottom , cutting of about a 1/4 of the diameter of the socket is enough .

Can you explain what you mean by "cutting of about a 1/4 of the diameter of the socket is enough "?

If you think of the socket being 360 degree round with 6 flats than you can cut one flat away along the LENGHT of the deep socket till you come to the bottom of the socket. An angle grinder works best.

I thought there a kind of wrench/socket for these call line/flare wrench?? Its available in those bigger hardware stores. Six sided but with an opening for wires/tube/hose to pass thru. Mostly people use it for high pressure hydraulic line.

Just hop on Amazon and type in O2 sensor tool and there are a bunch of different styles, sizes, reach, leverage...
