RE: Sissy bar and rack. - treytexag_imp - 09-04-2020 Agree, really looks good. Wasn't too bad, was it? I was surprised that by going slow, checking and rechecking, I was able to get one done on my 2014 DLX - as shown in the pics. Great work Smelville. RE: Sissy bar and rack. - Lord Popgun - 09-04-2020 Congrats Smelville! It came out really nice RE: Sissy bar and rack. - smelville_imp - 09-05-2020 Thanks guys, I was a bit more work than I thought because things needed to be bent but not too bad. Also the Corbin seat makes for a tighter fit so I had to space it up some to get it to work. Great deal for under $50!! Steve RE: Sissy bar and rack. - PowerDubs_imp - 09-06-2020 Looks great. Good job. RE: Sissy bar and rack. - j3gq_imp - 11-23-2020 Nice jobs ! ... please inspect your final setup for sharp edges, sharp screw ends, etc. Imagine you pillion holds onto the rack or the sissy-bar in some place (you may not even notice when and where). Now add a situation where you slam on the brakes, or similar g-forces. Could the pillion's hands get cut, while his (or HER!) hands start moving under the pressure of weight and acceleration ? |
