Well sir, i did the only thing a smart person with no mechanical skill could do. I dropped it off at the local honda shop today. Ill get it back on tuesday all spic and span.

i don't know about local business....all the honda shops in my town are owned by a dealership conglomerate.

A good shop is worth every penny, and if you’re not sure what to do can save you many pennies in parts you never had to buy (after you messed it up yourself). A bad shop, or a good shop where the good hands work on other cicles, can’t even do that

The tool isnt the problem when youre talking about cost...its the compressor. Several hundred vs. The 120 or so they want for an hour to slap my sprockets on. And then take into account that having the tool and the compressor doesnt mean im gonna be able to get the job done and i might end up buying a compressor and STILL taking it to the shop. Best not to take the risk in my case...ihave an unusually high failure rate historically

CP, Ingersoll Rand, Blue Point and m7, all 1/2' drive air impact guns I used within last 4 decades with no issues.
And the one that's left is my favourite: m7/NC-56110, 10,000 rpm, 500 ft-lb

also, bear this in mind, i actually worked for Desoutter/CP/AtlasCopco industrial tools for a good number of years, so i have experience with this on a professional level, and this was my choice FWIW.
