That seems strangely low - Cycle World got 82.5 corrected rear-wheel HP stock from the 2013 tested in July '13 issue. Does Don use a Dynojet unit like they do?
RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - rboe - 09-13-2014 Different days, different weather, maybe even different dyno's as well as different bikes I was reconsidering the flash after ready about the care Honda put into the map so on one level, a small improvement with no funny stuff afterwards is music to my ears. Too often these mods can lead to worse performance on the street where we have to live with the bike. Although I like the noise level about where it is. The same model dyno in two different shops can vary as much as 10% or 8 hp, whats important is his gains on the same dyno

I'll keep that in mind when these numbers are used in tests as if facts. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - kDiqq_imp - 09-13-2014 A dyno sheet will talk. Peak power is such a small thing to look at. Even if it lost 10 peak HP, but gained 5hp over the rest of the powerband, I'd be thrilled. That'd be far faster. So take peak figures with a grain of salt. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - HikerToo_imp - 09-14-2014 This thing is bad-a## :-) Had a chance to ride it around twice today on a nice sunny 70 degree day. Still as smooth as ever but now.... pulls harder at all RPM's charges ahead from 3500 to 5500 , where I play around at times and it even seems to have a louder more aggressive cutting edge growl to the Staintune exhaust ( Don from Guhl's said Honda is known for retarding timing to quiet exhaust?) have not tried top speed yet, there is a favorite road I usually do that and have not been there I liked what the PCV did, this does more and better so over-all, I would recommend this to anyone who were to ask! RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - the Ferret - 09-14-2014 Saweet! Sounds like you are a happy man. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - kDiqq_imp - 09-14-2014 Already sent an email. Looks like Don wants to charge everyone else $375 and that covers overnite return shipping. Sounds like a solid deal to me. I told him I'm ready to proceed forward when I see a dyno sheet. No reply back yet but I sent him that on friday. Look forward to seeing that sheet! That's what I paid too, and gave my bike up for almost 2 weeks, and drove 75 minutes each way, with my wife following me. I think you are better off calling him, he never answered 3 of my emails, but than I talked to him each time instead. I can post my Dyno sheet, maybe tomorrow, but I don't think the numbers tell the real story, feel and response may not be measured by horsepower.... |
