I think it runs at 1500 rpm for a bit before falling to 1100 rpm when it's warm. So maybe the oddball high idle issue is a malfunctioning sensor causing the idle to stay up even when bike is warm? Where is the temperature sensor and has anybody tried replacing it? The Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) sensor is located at the back side of the cylinder, near center, bottom. I replaced mine and it did not solve the idle speed problem. However, unplugging it made the bike run perfect (this is why I replaced it). When unplugged the warning light comes on, and the oil temperature light is on also. I'd like bet it's the dragging along in slow traffic rather than the heat. That's when mine suffered, in any temp. Most others wth the low idle issue found the same. RE: Weak Idle / Stumbling in Gear - linuxology_imp - 05-16-2017 I will change oil and change plugs and report back next week. It could be the low idle issue I suppose, but the bike does not stall completely. the idle will stay alive albeit not ideal. RE: Weak Idle / Stumbling in Gear - johnf514_imp - 05-16-2017 Hi Linux, I had this issue before the high idle issue kicked in. Rarely did the bike actually stall, but the idle would struggle between 500-750 RPM and need revs to keep it alive. Hopefully the oil/plugs change helps, but keep an eye on it. Could be your IACV going. RE: Weak Idle / Stumbling in Gear - linuxology_imp - 05-16-2017 (05-16-2017, 11:20 PM)johnf514_imp Wrote: Hi Linux, I had this issue before the high idle issue kicked in. Let us know your experiences. RE: Weak Idle / Stumbling in Gear - johnf514_imp - 05-17-2017 Hi Linux, we have a thread on it here. This is my post recapping my experience, and you can check my post history for this issue: http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=8120&pid=161586#pid161586 RE: Weak Idle / Stumbling in Gear - izmash_imp - 05-17-2017 (05-16-2017, 06:46 PM)beardyweirdy@me.com_imp Wrote:(05-16-2017, 02:41 PM)izmash_imp Wrote: ive had this happen on a REALLY hot day in slow traffic bike has even stalled once but only when the bike is really hot.
