Well— if I was going to spend the $900 or $680 I’d first try Max’s cleaning fix first.

Since I haven’t had mine apart, and don’t plan to, I don’t know how hard a fix it is.

Smelville, as a tech I can tell you that electronic devices don’t usually get better on their own. And when they do, it means there is no doubt a problem Smile

Could be a faulty crystal and/or heat if parked in the sun.
Be interesting to know the voltage close to the clock, compared to battery voltage.

Good thing I have a clock or I might starve/eat junk food.
I plan my meal stops by it or I would just keep riding until I would desperately eat convenience store junk food.

They can be put out of their misery with an appropriate size hammer...but not while attached to a CB

I put an early ‘80s digital FM receiver out of its, and my, misery with a 3 lb sledge.

Yes, beer was involved, but it had to go! Big Grin

Soaking them in used motor car oil requires less energy.

That's weird, 'cause I didn't think the '13 had a clock, but then, I don't pay much attention to the dash. The letters and numbers are too small, too hard to see and I prefer an analog watch anyway. The only thing I look at are those two big round things, and even at that, I've marked the speedo at 50, 75, and 100 MPH.

Just goes to show, you DON'T always get what you pay for.
