RE: Digital Clock Faulty? - Lord Popgun - 09-06-2020 Well— if I was going to spend the $900 or $680 I’d first try Max’s cleaning fix first. Since I haven’t had mine apart, and don’t plan to, I don’t know how hard a fix it is. Smelville, as a tech I can tell you that electronic devices don’t usually get better on their own. And when they do, it means there is no doubt a problem

It's done that since I bought it new. And I've replaced the battery along the way. I just got tired of resetting it. That's what cell phone mounts are for. Could be a faulty crystal and/or heat if parked in the sun. Be interesting to know the voltage close to the clock, compared to battery voltage. They can be put out of their misery with an appropriate size hammer...but not while attached to a CB RE: Digital Clock Faulty? - Lord Popgun - 09-07-2020 I put an early ‘80s digital FM receiver out of its, and my, misery with a 3 lb sledge. Yes, beer was involved, but it had to go!
RE: Digital Clock Faulty? - Cormanus - 09-07-2020 Soaking them in used motor car oil requires less energy. RE: Digital Clock Faulty? - Charlie Bravo_imp - 09-08-2020 That's weird, 'cause I didn't think the '13 had a clock, but then, I don't pay much attention to the dash. The letters and numbers are too small, too hard to see and I prefer an analog watch anyway. The only thing I look at are those two big round things, and even at that, I've marked the speedo at 50, 75, and 100 MPH.
