RE: CB1100 Meter replaced - Speedo, ODO, not working, ABS light ON HELP! - max - 03-30-2022 Just had a look at my abs sensor and think that if you were to assemble the brake assembly with some grit in between the brake assembly and the wheel bearing that could space out the sensor away from the slotted ring just enough to stop it from registering the slots, my gap is 0.04 mm. maybe just worth taking it apart and inspect the mating surfaces, just a thought. And make sure the brake assembly is riding over the square guide on the swingarm to stop it rotating when braking. Back in September I wrecked my 2013 CB1100. I finally got all the parts in and the bike is back on the road! It runs and rides great so far. However, my Speedo, Odometer, do not work and the ABS light is on. The cluster does a full sweep and everything else is working including tach. Joe, sorry, but my service manual says: Wheel speed sensor air gap : Standard: 0.4 - 1.2 mm (0.02 - 0.05 in) (03-30-2022, 01:22 PM)max_imp Wrote: Just had a look at my abs sensor and think that if you were to assemble the brake assembly with some grit in between the brake assembly and the wheel bearing that could space out the sensor away from the slotted ring just enough to stop it from registering the slots, my gap is 0.04 mm. maybe just worth taking it apart and inspect the mating surfaces, just a thought. Is that measured clearance or typo error?.....it would not be enough room to swell up when hot, or dirty..... ...or you meant 0.4 mm or 0.04" ? OR I am wrong again??
RE: CB1100 Meter replaced - Speedo, ODO, not working, ABS light ON HELP! - Houtman_imp - 03-31-2022 Peter , you are like me : NEVER wrong ! RE: CB1100 Meter replaced - Speedo, ODO, not working, ABS light ON HELP! - max - 03-31-2022 Thanks peter, you're right, it was late and the measured gap is indeed 0,4 mm. Here are two pictures, one with the feeler gauge under the sensor and the other one showing the feeler gauge size. Apologize for the confusion and thanks for picking this up, very much appreciated as usual. My specs are wrong, went from memory. PB and Max are correct. |
