Agreed. The DLX stands tall. RE: Some observations on the 2017 EX ..some pics added - Frulk_imp - 06-11-2017 Ferret. Thanks for the side by side comparison pics. Interesting contrasts. That new tank really does change the overall appearance of the bike. In particular the appearance of the bikes stance. That should have little to nothing to do with the base though RE: Some observations on the 2017 EX ..some pics added - BestStandard_imp - 06-11-2017 (06-11-2017, 06:46 AM)Teamwalker_imp Wrote: Local dealer (Fredericksburg Motor Sports) just got in their first 2017. Somethings I like, some I don't. Build quality is excellent. How does the build quality compare to your 2014 models? RE: Some observations on the 2017 EX ..some pics added - Guth_imp - 06-11-2017 Interestingly in the side-by-side photos, the 2017 EX looks "lighter" than the 2014 DLX. I know I've bagged a bit on the shape of the '14 DLX tank in the past, but I too prefer the looks of it over the '17 EX tank. For whatever reason, the new tank simply looks like it was designed for a completely different bike to my eyes. My favorite component on the new bike remains the brushed aluminum side panels, I really like those a lot. I only find it difficult when I wear my 'polarized' sunglasses. I'll never get polarized glasses again. I'd have them on my DLX. RE: Some observations on the 2017 EX ..some pics added - ride4now_imp - 06-11-2017 It's kind of hard to make a real comparison... one bike is nice and shiny while the other one looks like it's been ridden in the rain... a lot! Lol.... RE: Some observations on the 2017 EX ..some pics added - the Ferret - 06-11-2017 yup
