RE: Funny Ear Plugs story - Stichill_imp - 07-27-2019 I hate when you have one plug too loose and the wind roars on that side, so you have to pull over and fix it. Darn straight. Feels like vertigo or sumthin'. Just perfect for riding sanely. RE: Funny Ear Plugs story - Rocky_imp - 07-28-2019 Me too, I've had that happen a few times and have to pull over and even things up. RE: Funny Ear Plugs story - Stichill_imp - 07-28-2019 Speaking of annoying things going on inside your helmet, how about something itchy around or in your ears?! I used to wonder if I had an ant or a spider inside my helmet. I finally decided that sometimes an errant hair (attached or unattached) gets positioned in such a way that the end of it just lightly touches your ear. Every little puff of wind inside the helmet gives another tickle. Drives me absolutely insane! RE: Funny Ear Plugs story - Gone in 60 - 07-30-2019 I rarely ride without some kind of ear protection, but if it's just a quick trip to the store, I may not. This morning, for example, I stopped at the local market on the way to work, just a five minute ride from my house, so no earplugs. With ears unplugged, you get to hear every mechanical noise your bike is making, and I have to remind myself that none of them are catastrophic, I just don't get to hear them most of the time. |
